DLAG: Raincoats and Recipes

I know its been a lot of time and a lot of episodes between posts, but now we are getting to the good stuff: the Dragonfly Inn. I love how the whole in is a quirky representation of Lorelei's style. Here are a few of my favorite aspects from this episode.

The gallery wall going up the steps. The backdrop of the cheery yellow wallpaper is perfect for the antique variety of pictures.

Another trend that is popular now is chalkboards. I love how they turned a panel of the kitchen door into one. Also, the bulletin board to the left would be an easy DIY project that could be used to keep pictures, recipes, etc.

These rattan chairs were painted green for a fun pop of color in the dining room.

DLAG: Ballrooms and Biscotti

Another trend Gilmore girls predicted before its time: she-sheds. Sookie's gingerbread house styled shed is pretty inside and out, and I especially love the window boxes.

DLAG: Lorelei Out of Water

Here, we get one of the few glimpses into Lorelei's bathroom. And what else would you expect but charming, vintage claw-foot tub. The pink pinstriped shower curtain also adds a romantic touch.

DLAG: One's Got Class and the Other One Dyes

In this post, we are going to focus on Rory's room. The photo above shows her Harvard bulletin board. This is pretty much self-explanatory: you get a basic bulletin board and cover it with the college paraphernalia of your choice. Some other features of Rory's room include maps, travel posters, and books. Together these make up the perfect room for a studious teenager.

On a different note, this is just one of the many episodes where we get a glimpse of the town's fall decorations. Here, they use stacks of hay bales littered with pumpkins to create a fall harvest look. This could be great for a front porch or front yard.

DLAG: I Can't Get Started

Sookie was before her time in decorating when it came to this chalkboard. Now, chalkboard everything is all the rage. This could be an easy DIY project with some chalkboard paint, plywood, and a cheap metal frame.

DLAG: The Bracebridge Dinner

This vintage wallpaper is so charming, especially for an inn. It would go well with antique furniture and hardwood floors.

DLAG: The Ins and Outs of Inns

I love that little metal card catalog-esque thing back there on the shelf. Not sure what you would call it but it is very rustic chic, super in right now.
